A short guide to using the site, in the order you would normally take.
1. Create an account
Click Register in the navigation bar and fill in your details. You will need an email address, a password (at least eight characters), your home address, and a phone number. Once your account has been created you can log in straight away.
2. Register one or more bicycles
After logging in, click Register Bike and enter the manufacturer details, frame number (MPN), colour, wheel size, and other attributes. You can also upload one or more photographs of the bicycle (PNG or JPEG, up to 5 MB each). Photographs help officers identify a recovered bicycle.
3. Report a bicycle stolen
If a registered bicycle is stolen, click Report Stolen, choose the bicycle from the dropdown, describe the circumstances, and drop a pin on the map at the last-seen location. Submit the form to file the report; you will see it appear immediately under My Reports.
4. Track the investigation
My Reports shows the status of every report you have filed. A status badge tells you whether the report is Pending, Investigating, Recovered, or Closed. The status is updated by police officers as the investigation progresses.
